In 1984, Bob sold his business and planned to move to Florida, which we did two years later. Terri asked if she and Michael could move to Florida with us, and they preceded us there by a few months....We rented a house, while they stayed in our condo,  which we had owned for many years....Michael became manager at Agostino's, an Italian restraurant in St. Petersburg, and they settled into their own apartment, about a twenty- minute drive from our house. [The Schindlers, A Life that Matters, page 31]

In 1986, after living together with Terri and Michael for several months, Robert and Mary bought a house and let the young couple stay in the condo[Silent Witness page 21]. In 1988, Terri and Michael got their own apartment at McGegeor Place, about twenty minutes away from her parents' house.

Note: According to Michael "Mr. Schindler had not worked since moving to Pinellas County in 1986, and still had no job in 1988 [at the time Terri and Michael moved out of the Schindlers' condo].

Mr. Schindler had not worked since moving to Florida, The family was living off the money he'd received from the buyout of his share of the equipment business, but the money was running out and they could no longer afford to live in the style they'd grown accustomed to. The end result was that they had to give up the fancy townhome, Their solution was to move into the condo that they owned, the one that Terri and I had been living in....I finally took a job at *Agostino's a well known, upscale restaurant owned by a family, not a huge corporation. 1. His Sept 5, 1990 address on record: 19139 Gulf Blvd, Indian Shores, FL 34635

All the time I was off work staying with Terri, my paychecks from the restaurant continued, and eventually, Dan Grieco did as he had promised, and began helping us plan the initial legal moves that were essential. The first thing he did was tell us that we needed to file a guardianship petition so that I'd have the legal right to make all decisions for Terri. As the husband, I was able to approve her health-care treatment, but guardianship gave me power of attorney for her. Getting guardianship of another person means that you become that person. You are her mind and body. You speak for her legally.

Dan drew up the petition and we went before a judge. The court appointed a guardian ad litem to take Terri's side, but that person really doesn't do much in a case such as this. There was one court hearing, and on June 18, the court officially appointed me guardian. [Michael Schiavo: Terri: the Truth, page 31]

Grieco, Daniel J. Sr. - Born in Lawrence, MA in 1924, to Italian immigrants. In 1944, he married Natalie Tela, after being discharged from the military. Dan graduated from Northwestern University in Boston in 1951, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Engineering and Management. In 1953, he invented an innovative textile machine and was granted a patent by the US Patent Office In 1956, he started his 29 year career with Raytheon, an international defense contractor. Among other things, he was

program manager for the Polaris submarine missile and the Seasparrow ship to air missile programs. He was also appointed as the program manager for the Lunar Excursion Module communications system used in the Apollo 11 lunar landing in 1969.

Question: Didn't Bob Schindler work at Raytheon?

Answer: Bob worked as a mechanical systems designer for Raytheon Engineers during the day, so Michael and I [Mary] divided the custodial duties. [A Life that Matters-page 44]

It appears, from reading the Schindlers' book, that Bob was working for Raytheon in 1990.
