petnurser: We are now approachning the third anniversary of Terri's painful and unnecessary death. “Euthanasia in America now has a name — and a face.” -Pat Anderson
JUSTICE1949: I would hardly call starving and dehydrating a disabled person to death "divine intervention."
naturalskeptic: Hi! Just bloggin by! All I can say about Terri is "divine intervention". She was meant to pass on and that's exactly HOW she was meant to pass on. Nothing her husband or family did could have changed that.

Terri Was Alive

Terri Was Alive

Some say Terri Schiavo died in 1990
from what they do not say;
Others say the system
took Terri Schiavo's life on a 2005 day.

What is the truth?
Who's telling the lie?
Was Terri Schiavo already dead
when she was forced to die?

Makes little sense to say
Terri Schiavo was dead any way
to justify forcing her to go thirsty
and hungry day by day.

Makes little sense to blame
Terri Schiavo for what the system
allowed her husband to do:
strip Terri of her dignity and take
her personhood away.

Makes no sense to say
Terri Schiavo wanted to die
When there was no way to know....

What is the truth?
Who's telling the lie?
Was Terri Schiavo already dead
when she was forced to die?

Makes no sense to kill for mercy's sake
[Regardless of her quality of life]
Terri Schiavo's life was not ours to take.

Believe what you will...believe what
you may.....Terri Schiavo was a living
human being, when the court ordered
her food and water took a way.

Makes no sense to kill for mercy's sake
[Regardless of her quality of life]
Terri Schiavo's life was not ours to take.
                             -Janice Sanford

Three years ago others made the decision that robbed Terri Schiavo of her life. Her biological family[the Schindlers] have endured the pain of knowing that Terri [their daughter, and sibling] was forced to go without food and water until she died from dehydration.

Three years ago the Greer Court, and those who sought, and were given the right to force death on Terri Schiavo, betrayed every God fearing American. They took over two hundred years of American history and turned it on its head. No longer are we a nation governed by "We, the People." The judges who were involved in the Terri Schiavo case made it clear that they didn't care what Americans thought.

"That is the emotional rhetoric of this case. It does not influence this court, and cannot influence this court. I want you to know it and I want the public to know it," - Judge Whittemore

Timeline - The last thirteen Days of Terri Schiavo's Life

March 18, 2005 - Terri's feeding tube was removed for the third time.

March 22, 2005- ...Mary Schindler collapsed weeping into husband Robert Schindler's arms outside their daughter's hospice in Pinellas Park, Fla., as an appeals court in Atlanta began considering whether to overrule the federal judge in Tampa who decided Tuesday that a measure Congress passed early Monday did not require him to order the tube reinserted. She pleaded with Florida lawmakers in Tallahassee to intervene.

"Please, senators, for the love of God, I'm begging you, don't let my daughter die of thirst," Schindler said. ...
